Washington State Ferries

The Washington Department of Transportation operates 10 ferries that cross the Puget Sound to connect residents, commuters and tourists with the whole Puget Sound area. Two ferries depart from Seattle, two ferries depart from Fauntleroy, and one departs from Vashon Island to locations in Kitsap County. Three ferries connect communities in the US and Canada with Edmonds, Anacortes, and Mukilteo in Snohomish County. And, one ferry travels from Point Defiance in Pierce County to Tahlequah in King County. The remaining ferries operate outside of Snohomish, King, or Pierce Counties.
